CLINICS

Taught by rock climbing guru Steve Schneider, there are four different clinics to choose from. He's been teaching rock climbing since he was a Tenderfoot Boy Scout over thirty years ago. Most clinics are taught in climbing gyms, but Steve is more than happy to take his clinics outside.

BIG WALL CLINIC
Leading, hauling, and cleaning are all taught in this hands-on clinic. Lead and following techniques are demonstrated by Steve. Students learn proper techniques while on the wall in a fun and safe environment. Use of top rope belays and helmets are incorporated to increase safety. A written treatise of big wall basics is distributed to each student upon completion. Course length is four hours.

TECHNIQUE CLINIC
Steve demonstrates his approach to rock climbing that made him a national contender for many years. Footwork, handwork, balance, and body positions are all covered in this course adjusted for any level of difficulty. Students get a basic assessment of their strengths and weaknesses, and advice on how to improve. Course length is three hours.

ROUTE SETTING CLINIC
One of only four American to have UIAA Internationjal Certification, Steve has been route setting at the highest level for fifteen years. In this course, he gives specific theories for great route setting. Students then put these theories into practice as they receive assignments from Steve and set routes with his help. Routes are critiqued for further improvement. Course length is six hours.

BASIC RESCUE CLINIC
